CHELSEA ART FAIR

22 - 25 April - Chelsea Old Town Hall

Thank you everyone who found time to visit the stand number 9 at Chelsea Art Fair where a couple of oil paintings by the Russian Club artist Alex Borissov have been exhibited alongside Russian and British artists.

Alex Borissov who’s prints have been successfully sold at the Club charity auction in December had a number of complimentary tickets to Chelsea Art Fair reserved for the Russian Club members. This was courtesy of the Garden of Eden Art Gallery which exhibited some of Alex’s paintings. Gulya Diarova, the gallery director tells: “We have been exhibiting fine oil paintings and bronze sculptures by well established Russian and British artists in London since 1997. We stage about 8-9 regularly changing exhibitions a year, showing "golden" ceramics by renowned London artist Carolinda Tolstoy and museum quality fine oil paintings by Russian and British artists of international importance.” Those Russian Club members who would have wanted to see the artworks by Russian artists at Chelsea Art Fair but could not make it to the Fair due to adverse weather conditions (too much sun to be indoors) are welcome to visit the Garden of Eden Art Gallery at 36A Kensington Church Street, London. Visit by The BEARR Trust

On Thursday the 6th of May Ms Daryl Hardman, the Director of The BEARR Trust met the Russian Club members at the Emperor Bar at Vine Street. The BEARR Trust helps to promote social change in Russia and FSU Republics, protect and care for the young, the sick and the elderly who suffer most.

Risto Talas has presented a cheque to The BEARR Trust with a small donation on behalf of the Russian Club. More information about The BEARR Trust is available at www.bearr.org.uk .

Regular Pogramme

The Russian Insurance Club supports and promotes selected social and cultural events in London which may be of an interest to its members.

At Christmas time The Russian Club holds the Annual Lunch at various Russian restaurants in London. The Annual Lunches have proven to be highly popular among insurance professionals. The latest has been attended by over 60 guests, with some visitors coming from Russia.

Over the last four years the Russian Club has contributed to various charity projects in Russia. The Club has raised sizable funds for Russian orphanages and other good causes.
