Background

Russia Club also known as The Russian Insurance Club is an informal network of professionals. Established in 1995 in London by Risto Talas (at the time with J.L.Jones & Ors, Lloyd's of London) with active support of Tony Peck (then Regional Executive, Lloyd's of London) and participation of many Lloyd's syndicates and international insurance and reinsurance brokers, Russia Club has grown steadily over the past 10 years. It has about a hundred of regular attendees - brokers, insurers, bankers, surveyors, lawyers, accountants, linguists and other professionals, who in turn have access to a wealth of contacts in industries, professions and finance.

Activities

The core purpose of Russia Club is to promote co-operation between the London insurance market and Russian and FSU insurance companies and other businesses. Russia Club facilitates information exchange and assists with sharing contacts. In Russian Federation Russia Club is well regarded by the Russian Union of Insurers, the Russian Insurance Supervision (Rosstrakhnadzor) and some Russian MP’s (Duma members) involved with insurance issues. More on insurance related activities.

The scope of Russia Club is broad enough to include charity work, art and culture. More on Exhibitions, Culture and Social Events
